Ghana’s attacking midfielder Richard Boateng scored in Alcorcon’s 1-1 draw at home to Fuenlabrada on Sunday.
The former real Oviedo midfield kingpin bossed the middle of the pitch in his side’s disappointing draw at home in the Spanish La Liga II.
The 27-year-old Ghanaian midfield enforcer scored for the fourth time this term with two assist to his credit so far in the ongoing season.
Boateng put the home team in front inside 34 minutes with a right footed shot outside the box to the left bottom corner of the post following a nice set up by Rui Costa to make it 1-0.
The first half ended 1-0 to the Yellows in front of their home supporters.
After the recess, Boateng could have made it two to the home team in the 51st minute when his header was blocked in the penalty area.
The Ghanaian subsequently failed to tuck home a second for the home team a minute after his header was blocked by blasting his effort way over the crossbar in the middle of the goal area following a corner kick.
Iban Salvador was fouled in the box by Ernesto Gomez in the 71st minute and Hugo Fraile stepped up to convert the resulting spot kick to make it 1-1.
Both teams were not clinical upfront and failed to convert their chances into goals.
The entertaining and a high tempo game ended in a 1-1 stalemate leaving Alcorcon in the bottom half of the table.
