Ghana midfielder Thomas Teye Partey scored late to rescue all three points for Atletico Madrid against Eibar on Sunday evening.

The Ghanaian international replaced Joao Felix from Portugal with six minutes left to play on the clock in a game that Simoene and his boys so desperately needed to win after dropping points in previous games.

The 26-year-old midfield gem took six minutes to get his name on the score sheet and opened his goalscoring account for the season.

Atletico Madrid conceded two quick goals in the first 20 minutes of the match and showed their character and fought back strongly to secure the three maximum points against a well-organised Eibar side.
