Nurses and Midwives across Ghana have temporarily suspended their strike action.

This was disclosed at a press conference on Wednesday, September 23.

It follows an injunction secured by the National Labour Commission restraining the nurses to embark on the action.

The GRNMA and other allied health workers had declared a strike Monday demanding better conditions of service amid a surge of COVID-19.

The leadership of the GRNMA has been addressing the media urging their members to return to work as they get to the negotiation table with the government.
