A Ghanaian man was knifed to death at Gomoa Buduburam in the Central Region following a scuffle with a Cameroonian national Thursday.

Kwabena Sekyere, 30, sustained stab wounds after he was chased by the suspect following a heated argument. The police in the area are said to be searching for the suspect who is currently at large.

Details still remain sketchy but media reports say the suspect accused the deceased of volunteering information to security agencies leading to the arrest of known criminals in the area.

An eyewitness was quoted by the CNR as saying: “I thought they were just joking but it became very serious. He took a knife and stabbed the boy. The boy was running away, but he was still running behind the boy stabbing him. The boy fell down and he was still stabbing him.”

After about an hour, they rushed the victim to the hospital “and we heard the boy had passed away,” the eyewitness added.

The body of the deceased has been deposited at the St. Gregory Catholic Hospital in Budumburam while police are yet to comment on the incident.

Dailymailgh.com, however, gathered that some youth in the area, have joined the Police in search of the suspect.

Police have been patrolling the township pointing to planned reprisal attacks.
