Ghanaian winger Solomon Asante netted his 20th goal of the season on Tuesday night as Phoenix Rising Stars defeated Tacoma Defiance 4-2 in the USL Championship.

Asante, who is the skipper of Rising Stars, put up a fantastic display at the Cheney Stadium as three late goals saw his side winning the crunch encounter.

The Ghanaian international who has raked 14 assists so far was in hand again to set up Adam Jahn goal in the second minute.

Shandon Hopeau equalized for the home side through a penalty before they shot ahead in the 72nd minute after Handwalla Bwana tapped a loose ball into the net.

Rising Stars stepped up their game and restored parity in the 81st minute when the 5 feet 5 inches Asante defied all odds to head home a corner from Jon Bakero.

Jahn made it 3-2 for the visitors in the 83rd minute before Junior Flemming bend a superb effort to the far corner of the net to make it 4-2 as Rising Stars increased their unbeaten run in the American second tier to 16 games this season.
