Ghanaian youngster Kobbie Mainoo shines as Manchester United beat Leeds United

UK-based Ghanaian wonder-kid Kobbie Mainoo was in a dazzling form and produced a scintillating performance in Manchester United’s pre-season friendly game against newly demoted Premier League side Leeds United FC.

 

The Ghanaian teen controlled the game with excellent display in the middle of the pitch with great passing abilities and was full of confidence.

 

He pplayed the first 45 minutes of the match for Erik ten Hag’s side who could’ve scored at least three in the opening half of the match.

 

He won the Young Player of the Year award at Manchester United FC last season and has been rewarded with a spot in the senior team with a new jersey number ahead of the 2023-24 English Premier League campaign.

 

He was substituted in the second half as head coach ten Hag decided to change the entire team at the beginning of the of the second half.

 

Noam Emeran and Joe Hugill got the two goals to seal victory for Man Utd in the second half.
