Ghanaian young midfielder Kobbie Mainoo is in ecstacy after winning the Jimmy Murphy Young Player of the Year Award at English Premier League giant Manchester United.

He played a part in Manchester United’s truimph in the 2022-23 EFL Carabao Cup as he dazzled in games in the competition for the Red Devils who ended their long wait for a trophy since Jose Mourinho left the club.
“It’s an unbelievable feeling. I have been at this club all my life and it’s all been building to tonight. And to have my family here watching me, surrounding me, it is just amazing.”
” To stay around it and to keep on getting more games is the ultimate goal. I want to stay at this club; I’ve been here my whole life.”
At just 18 years old, Mainoo represents one of the promising talents emerging from the esteemed Manchester United Academy. Under the guidance of Dutch manager Erik Ten Hag, he is among several young players striving to secure a prominent position in the senior team.
