Dennis Miracles Aboagye, Director of Communications for the Bawumia Campaign Team, is confident that Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), will triumph in the 2024 general elections.

Aboagye expressed optimism that Ghanaians are determined to entrust Dr. Bawumia with the leadership of the country, heralding a new era of progress and development. In an interview with Umaru Sanda Amadu on Face to Face on Channel One TV, Aboagye asserted that the electorate is eager to witness Dr. Bawumia’s leadership capabilities.

“The people are resolved to give Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia the opportunity to demonstrate what he can contribute to this country. They see this as a choice between Dr. Bawumia and a former President [Mahama]. Dr. Bawumia, as Vice President, has yet to serve as President, unlike his opponent who has held both positions. Ghanaians feel it’s time to allow another citizen to showcase his potential as President,” Aboagye explained.

He addressed criticisms from the National Democratic Congress (NDC) regarding Dr. Bawumia’s alleged involvement in Ghana’s economic challenges and questioned the credibility of these claims.

“The NDC’s accusations are baseless and feeble. Why should Ghanaians trust someone who failed to fulfill promises during his presidency to now seek reelection promising the same?” Aboagye rebutted.

Vice President Dr. Bawumia has been actively campaigning nationwide for the presidency. However, he has yet to announce his choice for a running mate, a decision eagerly anticipated by the public and political analysts.
