Ghana’s active COVID-19 cases jump to 1011

Ghana’s active coronavirus (COVID-19) cases are now 1,011 a few weeks after dropping into the hundreds, officials have reported.

The Ghana Health Service (GHS) in its latest update on its website said the death toll remains at 327, but the total number of cases have shot up to 53,386.

The GHS is reporting 116 new cases.

The total number of recoveries is now 52,048. The number of cases recorded from international travelers at the Kotoka International Airport is 424 out of which 302 have recovered or discharged.

One person is currently in a critical condition while 12 others have their cases classified as severe. No patient is on ventilator in Ghana as of 12 December 2020.
