Sassuolo defender Claud Adjapong is in dilemma as to whether to join fellow Serie A side Hellas Verona or move to relegated Empoli.

Dailymailgh.com understands that Adjapong is destined to leave the Neroverdi on loan this summer as he seeks to get back on track after an injury lay off and so far two teams are on the cards.

The Italian Under 21 right-back who is of Ghanaian parentage is said to fancy Hellas Verona, but as at Wednesday night, Sassuolo and Empoli were locked in serious talks as management believes he will get more playing time in the Serie B.

Adjapong, 21, made five Serie A appearances scoring one goal as Sassuolo finished 11th on the league log.

His current contract expires on June 30, 2023.
