Ghana’s Antwi elated over brace against Etoile du Congo

Ghana goal monger John Antwi is pleased with his brace for Pyramid FC in their 4-1 CAF Confederations Cup win over Etoile Du Congo on Saturday.

The free scoring Ghanaian striker was in his elements at the June 30 Stadium as he netted twice against the Congolese giants to further write his name in the letters of Gold as one of the most prolific foreign attacker ever to grace Egyptian football.

Antwi mentioned that he is glad to have opened his accounts with the big spenders in grandstyle and also went on to laud the effort of his colleagues.

“I’m very happy with the goals but it was team work and I say thanks to the team,” (,!? Antwi told Dailymailgh.com

“It was a tough game but we were really prepared and thank God we had the win.”

The star striker also stressed that the second leg at the Stade Alphonse Massemba-Debat in Brazzaville will not be easy and they will go all out.

“Concerning the second leg in Congo, it’s not going to be easy. We are going to really prepare for that and I believe in my team that we can get a great results there,” he added.

Antwi joined Pyramid FC from fellow Egyptian Premier League outfit Misr El Makasa. He has also previously featured for Ismaily and Al Ahly.
