Ghana’s box-to-box midfielder Salis Abdul Samed plays at Old Trafford for the first time for Lens

Ghanaian hard working and box-to-box midfielder Salis Abdul Samed was in action for French Ligue 1 side Racing Club de Lens in their pre-season defeat to English Premier League giant Manchester United FC on Saturday afternoon.

On Saturday, August 5 at the Old Trafford Stadium. the Red and Yellows outfit took on the Red Devils in their last pre-season match before the start of the 2023-24 campaign.

 

The midfielder dazzled against the likes of English international player Mason Mount, Brazilian Casemiro and captain of United Bruno Fernandes in the middle of the park.

 

Florian Sotoca pounced on a lose defending on the part of Diogo Dalot to score from over 40 yards to give the French Ligue 1 side the lead in the 23rd minute mark which lasted till the end of the first 45 minutes of the match.

 

In the second half of the match, United turned on the heat and inside the first fifteen minutes of the match got three goals through Marcus Rashford, Antony and Casemiro to make it 3-1 at full time.

 

The young Ghanaian box-to-box midfielder spent 70 minutes on the field of play before he was substituted in the last 20 minutes of the match.
