Ghana’s coronavirus active cases drop to 499

Ghana currently has 499 active coronavirus cases, the Health Service announced late Saturday, September 19, 2020.

The total number of confirmed cases in the West African country since the virus was first imported there now stand at 45,877 after 20 new ones were added.

Two more persons have succumbed to the virus taking the death toll to 297.

Ghana continues to see a sharp increase in recoveries so far as the figures stand at 45,081.

Ashanti Region – 10,942

Western Region – 2,963

Eastern Region – 2,395

Central Region – 1,921

Bono East Region – 781

Volta Region – 669

Western North Region – 638

Northern Region – 528

Ahafo Region – 524

Bono Region – 511

Upper East Region – 291

Oti Region – 241

Upper West Region – 90

Savannah Region – 62

North East Region – 19
