The favourite striker of Ghanaians Jordan Ayew was voted Mukuru Man of the Match in Crystal Palace’s 0-0 draw at home to Everton on Saturday afternoon in the English Premier League.
The No. 9 was a constant source of endeavour and inspiration for Palace on the left wing, completing a match-high five dribbles, drawing four fouls – including that which saw Mason Holgate dismissed for the visitors – and having three shots.
Ayew also won a match-high 12 duels, including four aerially, and completed two crosses in an all-round impressive display.
Those numbers contributed to the Ghanaian receiving 55.9 percent of supporters’ votes, with goalkeeper Sam Johnstone – who made five saves on the way to a second successive clean sheet – coming second with 16.6 percent.
The 31-year-old Ghanaian international has played 32 matches this season for Palace, scoring 3 goals and 2 assists.
