The office of the First Lady of Ghana has announced the cancellation of the International Women’s Day High Level Event scheduled for Labadi Beach Hotel Friday, March 13, 2020.

PRESS RELEASE

13TH MARCH, 2020

The office of the First Lady wishes to announce the cancellation of the International Women’s Day High Level Event scheduled for Labadi Beach Hotel this evening.

This is in view of the confirmed cases of COVID19 in Ghana, announced by the Health Minister yesterday.

The Office of the First Lady entreats all Ghanaians to take good care of themselves by strictly adhering to the following precautionary measures as outlined by the Minister of Health

· Regular and thorough washing of hands with soap under running water and use of alcohol-based hand sanitizers

· Avoid shaking of hands

· Keep a distance of two meters from person with fever, cough, sneezing and difficult in breathing

· It is advisable to be physically active, drink plenty of water, eat healthy, avoid stress and have enough sleep.

· Stay home if you feel unwell with symptoms of fever, cough and difficulty in breathing and call the following numbers immediately: 0509497700, 0558439868
