Crystal Palace’s forward Jordan Ayew has been put forward for the Goal of the Month Award in February in the English Premier League. He’s up for this award because of his fantastic goal against Everton.
The amazing goal happened during a match where Crystal Palace drew 1-1 with Everton at Goodison Park. It was also the first game with Oliver Glasner as the club’s manager.
Ayew’s goal showed off his skill and accuracy. He got a pass from his teammate Jean-Philippe Mateta and then blasted the ball into the right side of the net. This goal was special because it marked Ayew’s return to scoring after playing for Ghana in the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations.
After his great performance against Everton, Ayew kept on impressing. He scored a goal and helped with another in Crystal Palace’s 3-1 win over Burnley. His overall performance in February earned him a well-deserved nomination for the Goal of the Month Award.
It’s worth noting that Ayew isn’t the only Crystal Palace player in the running for the award. Jefferson Lerma also got nominated for his brilliant goal against Chelsea.
