Ghana’s Joseph Paintsil simply can’t stop scoring, grabs 10th goal as Genk beat Gent

In-form Ghanaian attacker Joseph Paintsil can not simply stop scoring in the Belgium Jupiler Pro League this season for KRC Genk as he grabbed his 10th goal.

The former Tema Youth FC player restored parity for KRC Genk halfway through the opening 45 minutes of the match to make it 1-1 on the 23rd minute mark.

Hyun-Seok Hong scored the opening goal of the match to put the hosts 1-0 up nine minutes after kick off with a fine goal to send Genk’s supporters into wild jubilation.

Paintsil found the center of the box from the edge of the left side of the six yard box to bring his team back into the game.

Collins Sor on the 67th mark and Toluwalase Arokodare’s 86th minutes strikes gave the visitors a comfortable 3-1 lead with four minutes left on the clock.

Laurent Depoitre scored few minutes later to make the final score 3-2 as the leaders, Genk walked home with all three points.

The 25-year-old Ghana forward has 10 goals and nine assists in 20 games this season in the Belgium Jupiler Pro League on Sunday evening.
