Ghana’s newbie Inaki Williams solitary strike was all Athletic Bilbao needed to beat Villarreal CF in the Spanish La Liga on Sunday night.
The Black newbie gave the Red and Blacks outfit a deserving win over the Yellow Sub-Marine side at home in the Spanish top-flight.
After a goalless first 45 minutes of the match, the attacker latched onto Raúl García’s through ball early in the second half to slot the ball past the opposing goalkeeper to make it 1-0 to the hosts.
Before the goal, the Ghanaian came close to opening the scoring right from the dressing room but his effort was well saved by the opposition goalie.
His goal was enough to win the game for the home team who got their 6th win out of 12 matches.
The 28-year-old Ghanaian forward has five goals and one assist in 12 matches this season in the Spanish top-flight.
