Ghana’s newbie Inaki Williams opened his goal account for Athletic Bilbao in the Spanish La Liga on Monday evening.
The attacker grabbed the first goal of the match to put the hosts 1-0 up on the 24th minute mark of the match.
Inaki scored from an improbable angle as his right-footed strike squeezed into the bottom left corner to register his name on the scorers sheet for the first time this campaign.
Nine minutes later in the game the 28-year-old missed a golden opportunity to bag a brace as he failed to convert a spot kick awarded his team.
Alex Berenguer and Gorka Guruzeta’s brace scored an impressive 4-0 win for the Red and Blacks who moves to 5th on the league table after three games with seven points.
The 28-year-old Ghanaian has a goal in two matches in the 2022-23 Spanish top-flight.
