Ghanaian youth international Leonard Owusu is hoping to go all out in the Israeli Ligat this season.

The hugely talented playmaker was Ashdod FC best player last season as be helped them to maintain their topflight status.

Owusu reiterated that he wants to excel this season and propel his team to the champions play off.

“We want to be in the winners play off at the end of this season, that is the utmost aim,” Owusu told Dailymailgh.com

“Personally also, last season was my debut season and it was great, I want to be a better player than I was in the 2018/2019 season,” he added.

The mercurial offensive midfielder was in his maximum best on Saturday as his side drew 1-1 with Hapoel Hadera and believes it was a game they should have won.

“It was a good game, we should have won but we managed a point. We will go and prepare for our match this weekend against Hapoel Tel Aviv,” he added.

Owusu was previously the captain of Ghana Premier League outfit Dreams FC.
