Ghana’s rock-solid center-back Alexander Djiku’s move to German Bundesliga side Hoffenheim has collapsed despite completing medicals, Dailymailgh.com understands.
TSG Hoffenheim agreed a €6 million transfer fee with Djiku’s team Racing Club Strasbourg as the Ghanaian had his medical examination on Wednesday afternoon.
According to L’équipe, Djiku’s agent at the last meeting requested for an increment in his agent fee which angered the German club to call off the deal.
He’s on the verge of moving to another club after Strasbourg president Marc Keller agreed to sell the Ghanaian defender this transfer window.
He was on the radars of Spanish La Liga team Sevilla and almost joined the club on a ££€7m deal.
He was instrumental in Black Stars 2022 FIFA World Cup Qualification over noisy neighbors, the Super Eagles of Nigeria in March this year.
