Ghanaian forward Brandon Thomas-Asante grabbed his first league goal for Salford on boxing day against Crewe Alexandra.

The 20-year-old Ghanaian-born English scored Salford’s second goal as they swept Crewe aside.

The home team went in front on the seventh minute with a goal from Richard Towell.

Five minutes after the first goal, the Ghanaian attacker Thomas-Asante grabbed the his goal to make it 2-0 to the home team.

Harry Pickering gave the away team a little bit of hope when he smashed home a consolation goal eight minutes from full time.

The visitors hopes of getting back on level terms was dealt a big blow when defender Ryan Wintle scored an own goal to make it 3-1 to the host.

Salford won the game by a comfortable 3-1 scoreline in front of the home fans.
