The government has released GH¢150 million to contractors for immediate pothole patching nationwide.

The funds, part of the first-quarter allocations from the Ministry of Finance to the Ministry of Roads and Highways, aim to address road deterioration caused by heavy rains in 2023.

The initiative seeks to capitalise on the dry season, enabling routine patching on major roads.

In a statement the Ministry of Roads and Highways urged public cooperation, emphasising that the timely intervention aims at achieving smoother road surfaces, reducing accident risks, and prolonging road infrastructure lifespan.
