The latest set of games in the 2019/20 Ghana Premier League (GPL) season treated fans to some exciting football and thrilling outcomes, and Daily Mail GH captures the biggest observations of the matchday from a satirical perspective.

1. WAFA PROVE NEWTON RIGHT

‘To every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction’ — remember Newton’s Third Law of Motion?

Well, WAFA have proven that theory true, thrashing Ashantigold 6-1 at home last week and robbing their guests of the league’s best defensive record . . . only to throw that record away in a 4-1 thumping by Legon Cities this week.

2. FAISAL FINALLY WIN [WWLTW’S HEART]

If you think not winning is dry and boring, try Faisal’s recipe. Since Week 8, the Kumasi-based side has devised a rather ingenious fashion of keeping their fans entertained while the wait for that first win of the season continues, alternating losses with draws in a style — LDLDLD — that makes for colorful reading. This week, they recorded their third draw of the series and, so long as they keep things ticking like clockwork, maybe WWLTW (for the record, even we have got three Ws to Faisal’s none) will finally get off their backs since, well, we happen to be big fans of DL (Daddy Lumba)!

3. GOOD WEEK: HEARTS OF OAK

Over the weekend, the Phobians registered their 6th draw of the season — only WAFA and Legon Cities have more — and are now firmly in contention for our top draw title. Way to go, guys!

4. BAD WEEK: KARELA UNITED

Actually, Faisal didn’t start the aforementioned ‘Project DL’ alone. Also mixing up losses with draws in neat sequence were fellow strugglers Karela. Week after week, they’d mirrored Faisal’s sinusoidal run of form — right until Friday when, hosting Asante Kotoko, they lost instead of winning drawing.
