Gospel musician Great Ampong has made a public gesture of reconciliation towards highlife legend Daddy Lumba after nearly a decade of public discord. This olive branch comes as Ampong was ordained as a Reverend Minister during a ceremony held in the United States.

At the church service, Great Ampong was officially dressed in clerical attire, signifying his new role as a man of God committed to serving and inspiring others through his music ministry. The ordination was officiated by Archbishop Adonten Boateng, who prayed for renewed strength and grace in Ampong’s ministry.

Addressing the congregation, Ampong took a moment to reflect on past conflicts, particularly his well-known feud with Daddy Lumba that began in 2015. He expressed deep regret for his actions during the dispute and publicly sought forgiveness from Daddy Lumba.

“I have forgiven Daddy Lumba and I will no longer dwell on the matter,” Ampong declared during his ordination speech. “As I embark on this new spiritual journey, I seek to reconcile with all those whom I may have wronged, both knowingly and unknowingly.”

The feud between Great Ampong and Daddy Lumba had garnered significant media attention over the years, with both artists releasing diss tracks aimed at each other. Reports indicate the disagreement stemmed from financial issues related to their collaboration on the gospel song “Hosanna,” where Ampong alleged he did not receive due royalties.

Ampong expressed hope that his journey as a Reverend Minister would serve as an example of forgiveness and spiritual growth to others, encouraging them to embrace reconciliation and peace.
