‘He could’ve died’ – Journalist recounts Ghanaian artist Kuami Eugene’s accident in Accra

A journalist has provided chilling details of how popular Ghanaian artist Kuame Eugene narrowly escaped death in an accident in the national capital Accra.

According to Emmanuel Ajafor with ModernGhana news portal, Kuame Eugene ploughed into a tipper truck at CP,  near the DSTV office, close to the Achimota overhead towards Dzowulu traffic light, around 11:30 PM on Sunday.

The journalist, highlighted the potential fatal outcome if circumstances had been different.

“I was behind him”, Ajafor was quoted by myjoyonline.com as saying. “And so I was the first person to rush to his rescue. Kwame was struggling to come out so I brought him out of the car and helped the passenger too, before some guys also came around. I arranged for a vehicle to convey them to the UGMC hospital”.

“He’s fine. He had a broken arm with blood all over his hands. The car is badly damaged and all the airbags were out. He could have died”, he said.

The police were later called in to tow the mangled vehicle.

The artiste was in a range rover with registration number GC 220-21.

The incident has left fans deeply concerned about the artist’s well-being, with hopes for his speedy recovery.
