Minister of State at the Finance Ministry, Abena Osei-Asare, has offered heartfelt eulogies for the late MP for Ejisu, John Kumah, describing him as a man “dedicated to our national agenda.”
Both having served as Deputy Finance Ministers, Osei-Asare reminisced about Kumah’s instrumental role in advancing the government’s economic agenda with “passion, intelligence, and patriotism.”
The shocking loss, she lamented, deeply impacts not only colleagues but also the bereaved family, emphasizing the profound void left by his passing.
The Vice President Dr Mahamadu Bawumia today visited the home of the late Deputy Finance Minister, John Kumah, accompanied by government and New Patriotic Party (NPP) officials.
During the visit, the Vice President signed the book of condolence for the late legislator from Ejisu.

I am deeply saddened by the death of my brother and colleague Hon. John Ampontuah Kumah.
He was warm, humble and dedicated to our national development agenda.
Hon. Kumah was instrumental in advancing the government’s economic agenda with passion, intelligence and patriotism.
This is a big blow to all of us and the family.
