Tributes have been pouring in across Ghana after the Church of Pentecost announced the death of its former chairman Apostle Dr Michael Kwabena Ntumy.
He died on the morning of Wednesday, December 27, 2023, as announced by the church in a statement.
The Church described the late Apostle Ntumy as not only a “revered man of God but also an inspirational leader”.
“His commitment to the things of God was unparalleled and his contributions to the church community were significant”, the church said in a statement.
The council, management, staff, alumni and students of Atebubu College of Education have also expressed their profound sorrow at the passing of the late Apostle Dr Michael Kwabena Ntumy.
In a statement eulogising their former student of the class of 1977, the College of Education said a great alumnus has been lost.
Also, they described Apostle Ntumy “as one of the greatest personalities/teachers Mother ATECO has produced.
“He indeed was always guided by the motto of the college “Wisdom and Service”. Truly, he served humanity and gave his all!”
ATECO further commiserated with the deceased’s immediate family, wife, children, the Chairman and the entire Pentecost Church.
“We are united in grief knowing that our dear one is resting with his maker after making such a monumental impact in his generation.
“May his soul and the souls of all faithful departed rest in peace and rise in glory,” they added.
Apostle Dr. Ntumy served two terms as chairman of the Church and retired as an Apostle last year after 39 years in ministry.
