Hearts of Oak secured a narrow 2-1 win over Ebusua Dwarfs on Sunday.

The Rainbow Boys ended their two matches winless streak with a hard fought 2-1 win at the Accra Sports Stadium to bag their first win and three points in three outings.

Former Ebusua Dwarfs player Joseph Esso expertly converted a free kick on the 30th mark to put the home team in front.

Hearts created a lot of chances but failed to add to their tally as the half ended 1-0 in the home team’s favour.

The host continued from where they left off after the recess and looked the better side for the greater part of the match.

Togolese import Kofi Kordzi fired home the second goal for the host inside 56 minutes following a free kick to make it 2-0.

The visitors reduced the deficit to one when Albert Ato Hammond run unto a through pass to make it 2-1 with 20 minutes left on the clock.

Dwarfs could’ve snatched a point in the closing stages creating and missing the numerous chances that came their way.

Hearts held onto their one goal advantage and won the game by a 2-1 scoreline.

The Phobians travel to face buggy side WAFA SC on Wednesday at Sogakope.
