Hearts of Oak played out an entertaining goalless drawn game with Ashantigold on Thursday night.

The Phobians failed to keep the momentum going drawing blank against Ashgold after beating Dreams FC 1-0 last Sunday in Dawu.

The host were the better side of the opening 45 minutes but couldn’t utilise the chances that came their way.

Kofi Kordzi was just a second late to latch onto Mohammed Fatawu’s cross in the first half when Ashgold goalkeeper got his finger tips to redirect the ball.

Youngster Afriyie Barnie missed a sitter in the dying embers of the first half from close range following a cross from right back Fatawu.

The first half ended goalless.

A few minutes after the break, Barnie again missed a glorious chance to put the home team 1-0 up in a one on one situation and could have laid a pass to strike partner Kordzi.

Appiah MaxCarthy nearly beat goalkeeper in the post for Hearts with a pile driver from outside the box but the giant goalkeeper was up to the task.

Both teams couldn’t get the winner and the game ended without goal.

The Phobians have won just one game at home this season losing two and drawing one in the process.
