Ghana Premier League giants Accra Hearts of Oak have asked head coach Kim Grant to step aside.

According to sources, coach Grant will eventually be axed over poor performance.

Grant has been with the Phobians for over a year now and was optimistic of leading the Rainbow club ahead of the upcoming season which starts this weekend.

Dailymailgh.com can reveal that management and supporters of the club are unhappy with the gaffer’s performance in recent games and the decision to sack him came into the equation after the club lost to arch rivals Kumasi Asante Kotoko in the 2019 President’s Cup at Kumasi Baba Yara Sports Stadium last Sunday.

Meanwhile, sources say the main reason for his sack has nothing to do with licencing issues.

Hearts of Oak will appoint a new manager to take over from Grant by the end of today.
