Hearts of Oak have released experienced midfielder Malik Akowuah, following the expiration of his three-year old contract.
According to officials of the club, they opted not to renew his contract which expired this year.
The club published its decision on its Twitter account saying: “Accra Hearts of Oak Sporting Club has taken the option not to renew the contract of midfielder Malik Akowuah following the expiration of his three-year deal at the club.”
”We thank him for his professional service to the club and wish him the very best in his future endeavours,” the club added.
Akowuah joined Hearts of Oak from Medeama SC in 2016 following his his exploits with the Mauve and Yellow club from Tarkwa .
