Accra Hearts of Oak succumbed to a 1-0 defeat to the Black Meteors at the Accra Sports Stadium on Wednesday.

Meteors took the lead against the run of play after breaking through the offside trap with the scorer Akesse Akesse rounding Ben Mensah before slotting into an empty net.

Obeng Jnr failed with his effort when faced with the Black Meteors goalkeeper and missed the best chance of the game for the Phobians with just two minutes left on the clock.

The Rainbow Boys have drawn blank in a second successive friendly and could be a worrying signs for head coach Kim Grant going into the new season.

Black Meteors are preparing for the last round of qualifiers for Tokyo 2020 Olympic games against Algeria and their win over the Ghana Premier League side could be a morale booster ahead of the crunch encounter.
