Ghanaian international Nana Ampomah has revealed his target was to play in the Bundesliga since infancy hence his decision to grab the Dusseldorf offer.
Ampomah joined the German club three weeks ago from Waasland for a fee of 4 million Euros and has already hit the ground running scoring a brace against La Liga outfit in a friendly game on Saturday.
“Playing in the Bundesliga is a dream come true. As a child I always wanted to play football in Germany because it is one of the best leagues in the world. I could not have said no to the offer,” Ampomah told the press.
“I was well received at Dusseldorf, the first week was immediately amazing and I have been quick to adapt.”
Ampomah further stressed that the style of play and training in Germany is entirely different from what is done in Belgium.
“What I heard before coming here is true, the training sessions in Germany is very intense and you have to run more,” he added.
