“Seeing Samed Salis at the World Cup makes me happy because he is someone I always talk to every day and with Kudus (Mohammed), he is like a younger brother to me because we grew up in the same hood and me seeing them at the World Cup makes me happy,” he told 3Sports
“The World Cup is the biggest football tournament in the world and every player wants to play the World Cup,” he said.
“Personally, I felt bad for not playing at the World Cup but I also felt these are my guys and they need my support,” he added.
The Ghanaian international did not get into the Black Stars team for the tournament in Qatar late 2022 due to injury worries.
