New AFC Ajax Amsterdam head coach Maurice Steijn believes a very powerful club in Europe will end up signing Ghanaian star midfielder Mohammed Kudus next summer.
According to him, if the most sort after Ghanaian international decides to stay in the Dutch Eredivisie with giants, AFC Ajax Amsterdam, he will attract interest from the very best clubs in Europe in Sumner 2024.
The manager says the price tag and the player’s value will skyrocket should the Red and Whites outfit win the 2023-24 Dutch Eredivisie and the youngster manage to score 20 goals at the end of the season.
“He has exceptional qualities. I hope he stays, he is perhaps our best player at the moment. If he stays, it would also give the rest a huge boost”, Steijn said to VI on Saturday.
“I have the feeling that if he stays for another year, the real top will come for him. Now it is just a bit below that. He would very much like to make a transfer himself. He has also indicated this to the management.”

Kudus, under contract to Ajax until 2025, rejected a one-year extension in April and is keen to leave the Johan Cruyff Arena.
The 22-year-old scored 18 goals and provided seven assists in 42 appearances in all competitions for Ajax last season.
He also scored twice for Ghana in a 3-2 win against South Korea in the group stages of the World Cup in Qatar in November.
