The Greater Accra Regional Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Emmanuel Nii Ashie Moore, has called on party members to disregard a letter circulating about the submission of nominees for appointments from constituencies.
In a statement dated December 25, 2024, Ashie Moore clarified that he had no knowledge of such a directive from the party’s top leadership. He further explained that the regional executive committee had neither been consulted nor given approval for such a decision.
“This is indeed a sole decision of the Regional Secretary without any recourse to laid-down party structures. Kindly disregard the letter completely with much seriousness it deserves,” he stated.
Ashie Moore also reassured members that the President-Elect’s transition team is actively working towards a smooth handover. He noted that their focus remains on implementing the top 10 policies within the first 120 days of taking office.
