French defender of Ghanaian parentage Enock Kwateng is hopeful he will improve at Bordeaux under coach Paulo Sousa.
Kwateng, who joined Bordeaux from Nantes this summer, reiterated that Sousa is a great coach and can play a key role in his development as the season progresses.
“My relationship with Paulo Sousa honestly is good. He talks to us a lot, he is attentive and very close to us. He also knows how to develop players that is why I came to Bordeaux,” Kwateng told the press ahead of Saturday’s game with Metz.
“He helps players to progress, I will improve a lot under this coach. I did not know him but got some good feedbacks from friends who played in his team before I made the move.”
The 22-year-old guardsman has played two Ligue 1 games for Bordeaux this season providing an assist.
