The NDC parliamentary candidate for Okaikoi North constituency, Theresa Lardi Awuni, has promised to win the seat for the largest opposition party in the December polls.

The NDC has not won the seat since 1992.

Speaking at the official campaign launch of the NDC in the constituency, Ms. Awuni assured the people of Okaikoi North she is going to be a mother for all.

She recalled how she was able to reach out to several persons during the lockdown with food without considering their party affiliation.

Ms. Awuni said her target is to unseat the incumbent Fuseini by 65% votes.

On his part, the Greater Accra Regional Chairman of the NDC, Mr Joseph Ade Coker, was optimistic the wind of change will hit the constituency in the December polls.

Mr Ade Coker stated that the NDC’s manifesto has a lot to deliver for the people of Okaikoi North.

“Let me state it clear that the reason of choosing a woman to represent the party in the upcoming general elections is to make sure that the party has all-inclusive governance and applying the affirmative action and giving the women a role in politics.”
