Asante Kotoko coach Kjetil Zachariassen has expressed his profound gratitude and excitement with his new role days before his side depart for Nigeria.

“I’m very excited because this is what we all lived for, and as a coach this is a great place to work and show my abilities for the team and fans,” Zachariassen said.

“This is the real thing and we are going to give our all and hopefully it will be enough to bring home good result,” he added.

The former Ashgold SC coach believes that this is a good opportunity for his boys to showcase their talents and fight for the club.

Speaking to the press at the team’s training camp in Accra ahead of their trip to Nigeria, the Norwegian was optimistic about his team’s chances but also admitted it will not be an easy ride over their opponent Kano Pillars on August 10, 2019.

The Porcupine Warriors are currently in the capital Accra to intensify their preparation before the weekend showdown in Nigeria.

The Kumasi-based club will leave Ghana on Thursday to acclimatize with weather conditions before their game against Kano Pillars on Saturday.
