Ghana’s star player Kudus Mohammed believes he’s heavier than the Black Stars number 10 jersey which has been worn by Andre Ayew in the past decade.

The AFC Ajax Amsterdam star says the Black Stars number 10 jersey doesn’t scare him because he is heavier than the number itself.

He’s one of Ghana’s players to watch at the 2022 FIFA World Cup tournament in Qatar following his explosive performances in the Dutch Eredivisie this season with five goals in the Eredivisie.

“Well,” he says, then pauses. “If you look at the goals, assists and stuff, probably. But if you think about some other things, not really.”

“Heavy for me?” he says. “I’m heavier than the No 10 itself. No number scares me.”

“Well,” he says, then pauses. “If you look at the goals, assists and stuff, probably. But if you think about some other things, not really.”

He scored four goals in the 2022-23 UEFA Champions League competition which is ongoing and provided two assists, winning two Man-Of-The-Match awards.

Ghana will start their 2022 FIFA World Cup campaign with a game against European giant Portugal on November 24 at Stadium 974 in Doha.

Four days later, the Black Stars return to action with a clash against the Asian powerhouse South Korea at the Education City Stadium in Al Rayyan.

The Black Stars who are making their fourth FIFA appearance will end their group stage campaign with a clash against Uruguay at Al Janoub Stadium in Al Wakrah.
