AS Roma wonder-kid Felix Afena Ohene-Gyan has downplayed the injury he sustained against Nigeria on Friday evening in Kumasi at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in the first leg of the 2022 World Cup playoff.
The youngster has assured Ghanaians not to worry about his supposed injury he picked in the dying embers of the frenetic clash.
Afena Ohene-Gyan was the target man for Ghana and showed glimpses of brilliance in the match against a tough and experienced players like Leon Balogun and Troost-Ekong.
“Amazing crowd!Grateful for the show of love and support. I’m ok.We go again on Tuesday.Keep the faith” the AS Roma youngster wrote on social media.
He pplayed 81 minutes of the match and kept pressing the defense line of the Super Eagles of Nigeria in his debut for the four-time Africa Cup of Nations winners.
Ghana will travel to Nigeria on Sunday evening ahead of the return leg of the 2022 FIFA World Cup Playoffs in Abuja.
