In-form Ghanaian attacker Abdul-Aziz Yakubu scores brace as Wuhan pip Meizhou

Ghanaian forward Abdul-Aziz Yakubu found the back of the net two times for his team in the Chinese Super League at home on Sunday.

The former Rio Ave striker netted his eighth and ninth goal this season in 10 League games for his team Wuhan Three Towns FC  as they recorded a narrow but well deserved win over Meizhou Hakka FC.

After receiving a pass from Nicolae Stanciu, the Ghana forward found the top right corner from the left side of the box to give the hosts a 1-0 lead.

Rade Dugalic equalized for the away team in the 17th minute to restore parity before the end of the opening 45 minutes of the match.

The 24-year-old Ghanaian forward has nine goals and one assist in 10 matches this 2023 season in China.
