The Ghana Airport Company Limited (GACL) has reinstated a security officer attached to the Kumasi Airport after he was interdicted for conducting a pre-boarding search on the National Security Minister.

The GACL had taken this action against Awudu Basit after he searched Albert Kan-Dapaah at the VVIP Lounge at the Kumasi Airport, describing his conduct as embarrassing.

But in a letter addressed to the Public Sector Workers Union (PSWU) and sighted by dailymailgh.com, the GACL said it has reconsidered its decision after further consultations, stressing that a committee of enquiry will proceed to look into the matter.
