Int’l Friendly: Al Hilal 5 – 0 Kotoko – Blue Waves beat Porcupines to a pulp

Ghana Premier League giant Kumasi Asante Kotoko SC have been beaten to a pulp by Sudanese powerhouse Al Hilal Omdurman.

The Blue Waves beat the Porcupine Warriors in a second straight game on Friday evening in their pre-season friendly game in Omdurman.

With 30 minutes into the game, the home team struck first to take the lead through a fine free-kick from Maccabi Lillipo to make it 1-0 to the hosts.

The free-kick expert, Lillipo scored again from similar position just a minute away from the break to give the Sudanese a comfortable 2-0 lead before the break.

Abdul Agagon scored with a beautiful strike from outside the box to make it 3-0 few minutes after the hour mark. 

The host scored another to make it four before Mubarak Abdullah added the fifth goal to make it 5-0 at the end of the match.

Kotoko lost the first game 2-0 and has lost 5-0 in the second making it 7-0 to Al Hilal in two games.

The Porcupines are preparing for their CAF Champions League campaign and will face Simba SC, Tanzanian Premier League giant in another friendly.

Kotoko, on their return to Ghana will face old foes Accra Hearts of Oak SC in the 2022 Ghana Super Cup on Monday September 5.
