Former Black Stars and Accra Hearts of Oak player Laryea Kingston believes Ghanaians have every right to doubt the Black Stars ahead of their crucial World Cup qualifying game against Nigeria this Friday.

According to him, due to the inconsistencies the team’s play and poor round of results over the last few years, it is clear Ghanaians are not very confident ahead of this game.

“Ghanaians have every right to panic a little bit about how well we’re going to do against Nigeria and also should we qualify for Qatar, can we do better than what we did previously?. Ghanaians have every right to have that doubt because there’s no consistency in the Black Stars, we have changed so many players, managers and in football you need consistency to have results”, he added.

Ghana will take on the Super Eagles in two matches scheduled for Kumasi and Abuja respectively as the search for a ticket to November’s FIFA World Cup in Qatar heats up.

The first leg will be hosted at the Baba Yara Sports stadium on Friday, March 25 before travelling to Abuja for the 2nd leg on Tuesday, March 29, 2022.
