Dutch youngster of Ghanaian parentage Myron Boadu insists he has never regretted walking over Arsenal.
The 18-year-old striker had successful trials with the Gunners when he was 15 but chose to stay at AZ Alkmaar afterwards.
“Before going to Arsenal I had talks with my friend Donyell Malen who was at that time at their Academy and when I went there I was really impressed. If I had to decide at that spot I will have probably signed,” Boadu told VI.
“But I did not think you should take those chances quickly. After returning to Netherlands, I slept on it overnight and the next day, I told Arsenal I want to stay at AZ.”
“I have never regretted forgetting Arsenal, PSV, Ajax and other clubs. AZ and I are perfect match to this day,” Boadu added.
The teenager has been AZ’s arrow head this season netting six goals and providing three assists in 12 games in all competitions.
