Private businessman and CEO of Joy 4 Fame Shipping LTD, Mr. John Obiri Yeboah, has donated items worth GHc100,000 to some selected institutions in support of efforts by Government in dealing with the COVID-19 pandemic in Ghana.
The institutions which benefited from the benevolent act of kindness includes the Ghana Prisons Service, Royal Seed Orphanage, Communities in Akyemansa, and residents of Anyaa Sowutuom.
He donated items such as Hand Sanitizers, Liquid Soaps, Veronica Buckets, Oils, Bags of Rice, Drinks, Toiletries, Tissues, Brushes, Pepsodent and Joy 4 Fame Ginger Tea and Cash.
Speaking exclusively with the Media, Mr. John Obiri Yeboah, noted that the items forms part of the company’s Corporate Social Responsibility.“In all things human life comes first, Many people are willing to adhere to the measures and directives from the Government but financial situations are different in every area.
So as such, I took upon myself to support with these items and some cash for the less privileged to stay home and stay safe,” he said. He urged the Directorate and communities to put the items to good use and also advised the people to make good use of the Social Distancing directive.Ghana has recorded 152 cases of Coronavirus (COVID 19), with 5 deaths and 33 recoveries.
President Akufo Addo last Friday announced a partial lockdown in Accra, Kumasi, Tema, and Kasoa in a bid to prevent a spread of the coronavirus disease.
