A suspect involved in the murder of Ruth Eshun, the Ghanaian nurse who was found lifeless at Ayuom in the Ashanti Region, has since been remanded by the Asokwa District Court.
He has been named as 35-year-old, Dominic Fosu, police in the region said in a statement signed by a Deputy Regional Commander, ACP David Agyemang Adjem.
According to the police, the suspect was arrested on February 5, 2020 at Sewua Aboaso in the Bosomtwe District after his Samsung Mobile Phone was retrieved at the crime scene.
He was subsequently arraigned before the court presided over by H/W Korkor Achaw Owusu and was remanded into custody.
He will reappear before the court on Wednesday, February 26, 2020, the police said in the statement.
Police also confirmed the arrest of 37-year-old Gariba aka Amanya Atiuwenti, a mason apprentice who is also assisting police in their investigations.
“He is also in custody helping Police in investigation and will be put before court”, the statement further added.
The police in the statement could not mention their provisional charges against the accused persons.

This brings to two, the number of arrests made so far in connect with the case.
The police said more persons have since been questioned as part of their investigations.
The late Eshun, 37, was found lifeless at Ayuom in the Bosomtwe District of the Ashanti region on February 4, 2020 when she failed to return home after work.
A social media campaign dubbed, “#JusticeForRuthEshun” has since been launched to arrest and prosecute the perpetrators.
While the Ghana Health Service is urging calm the nurses have threatened to withdraw their services citing safety concerns.
Ghana’s Parliamentary Select Committee on Health has also appealed to the Speaker to invite the Inspector General of Police and the Minister of the Interior to appraise the House on the development.
The deceased has since been laid to rest.
