Karaga erupts for John Mahama [Photos]

The town of Karaga in the North-Eastern part of the Northern Region erupted with joy and celebration on Thursday when the convoy of John Dramani Mahama entered the town.

Mr. Mahama, who is the flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), was in Karaga together with leading members of the NDC to participate in the funeral rites of the late Karaga-Naa Adam.

In a real show of support and appreciation, the youth, women and the elderly, run from various corners of the town to herald and welcome the former President.

Mahama visits chiefs

Meanwhile, Mahama as part of his #SpeakOut session in the Northern Region, on Wednesday, paid courtesy calls on chiefs in the Tamale metropolis.

Mr. Mahama visited and interacted with the Lamashe-Naa Ziblim, Nyab-Dakpema, Nyab-Gukpenaa and the Tamale Bug-Lana.

He thanked them for their leadership and maintaining peace in their communities.

The NDC leader also assured the chiefs, “on behalf of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), our MPs and Parliamentary Candidates, that we will continue to engage in a politics of ideas, promote national unity and development.”
